Langkawi
Langkawi Island
Langkawi archipelago is a natural tropical paradise which many consider being unmatched elsewhere in South East Asia.
Different from other islands on our list, Langkawi is large, civilized, and has no lack of hotels and restaurants. Though its beaches are still pristine and beautiful.
Langkawi Island Private Yacht Charter
The nature of Langkawi makes it a truly outstanding place. You will be deeply impressed with the magnificent scenery and pristine landscapes of untouched wilderness. No other island in South East Asia has such a unique surface.
A perfect starting point for your Langkawi Island private yacht charter is The Royal Langkawi Yacht Club in the south-east. The club offers about 200 berths for the boats up to 60 meters. A good number of bars and nice restaurants create a welcoming atmosphere, and there a duty-free shopping centre in the walking distance from the club.
Next door to the marina there are luxury seafront resorts of The St. Regis and The Westin where you can stay the night before the cruise starts.
Leaving the marina and cruising to the north-east get ready for a scenic mangrove and limestone tour through Kilim Karst Geoforest Park, a 100 square kilometre nature reserve and a collection of geo-sites full of amazing flora and fauna along the shores of Kilim River. It is easy to spot eagles, monitor lizards, and monkeys here. If you wish to thoroughly explore the park then a 2-3 hour river tour by the local operator is the best way of doing it.
Arguably the most beautiful beaches and bays of Langkawi are located up north. One of them is Tanjung Rhu Beach, host to the superb Tanjung Rhu and Four Seasons resorts worth a visit for lunch or dinner on your Langkawi Island private yacht charter.
Further west there is Datay Bay which is embarked as the ultimate luxury destination in Malaysia. Two of Langkawi’s most exclusive resorts, The Datai and Andaman are located here.
Langkawi is a duty-free island, and alcohol and chocolates are almost half price here than in the rest of Malaysia. Airport prices are almost 2 times higher than those in the department stores around the island. Hotel tariffs and retail goods are exempt from government duty.
In the south-west of the island, there is a cosy Telaga Harbour Marina, a beautiful place surrounded by the green mountains. The Danna resort is a must-visit place if you are looking for a signature dining experience.
If your time schedule allows don’t miss the opportunity to visit SkyCab Cable Car that will take you to the top of the majestic Mount Gunung Mat (708m). The views of the island and Thailand from there are the most breathtaking in Asia. And the walk across the suspension SkyBridge is something you will never forget!
Contact Boat in the Bay to explore the island of Langkawi in the privacy of a luxury yacht, whether you are doing Langkawi to Phuket route, or vice versa.
